Hello
I'm trying to install 32-bit Oracle Client to the 64-bit Oracle Database on Windows 2008 server R2x64. I need it to run my 32 bit application.

What have I done:

1. Installed 64-bit Oracle Database (10.2.0.4). My oracle home is: "C:\oracle\orcl" and my service name in tnsnames is: "orcl"
2. Installed 32-bit Oracle Production Client (10.2.0.3) to the: "C:\oracle\orcl1"
and copy tnsnames from C:\oracle\orcl\network\admin to C:\oracle\orcl1\network\admin
3. In cmd prompt I used: set oracle_home=c:\oracle\orcl1"
4. In Environment Variables Path I put: "c:\oracle\orcl1\bin"

.......but it still doesn't work. I have no idea where I did mistake and what to do.
When I'm trying to run my apllication I have an error: Cannot load an IDAPI service library. SQLORA32.dll

Thx for advice

What does this mean? What is "it"?

Copy and paste what you did and have, post it inline (no image, no attached file) and post it formatted.

You posted what you THOUGHT you did, maybe not what you ACTUALLY did.

COPY AND PASTE.
Copy and paste "set" result, and copy and paste "it".
Note that "it does not work" does not help in any way to diagnose why "it" does not work.

Michel

>it didn'n work
adds NOTHING of value to this thread.

is COPY & PASTE broken for you?

I am still waiting for you to tell me how to make my car go.

What else can I copy and paste to help diagnose the problem?

WHERE? Not here! So ask those that can see what you did 100 times, not us.

setup.exe -ignoreSysPrereqs -ignorePrereq

That's all

All that does is suppress the error messages that you tell you that installation of that product on that system won't work and why.

You're right but in this topic it was just I needed. Oracle 10.2.0.3 32 bit client doesn't support Win 2008 Server R2 x64.
